Abstract

In designing information communication devices such as real-time embedded systems, it is quite important to maximize the system performance under some hard energy constraints. As a useful technology to reduce the energy consumption in computer-based systems, the dynamic voltage and frequency scaling (DVFS) is becoming very popular. In this paper, we consider an optimal DVFS allocation problem by maximizing the system reliability subject to the hard real-time and energy constraints.
