Abstract

- Every student at the Bandar Lampung University has the right to apply for a scholarship for those whose parents cannot afford to pay for their education, and is entitled to a scholarship for those who have good achievement and a good rating index. This study aims to apply the nave Bayes algorithm for the efficient implementation of application and selection of scholarship students by using the Nave Bayes method which is a simple probabilistic classification that calculates a set of probabilities by adding up the frequency and combination of values from a given dataset by determining the eligibility of scholarships according to the criteria specified. determined by the university. On the basis of the existing problems, a system or application is needed that can assist the student bureau in making decisions on the determination of scholarship applications. By applying the Naïve Bayes Method to the implementation of scholarship applications for efficient selection of scholarship students. In the process, this system was created to overcome the problems that exist at the university and become a solution for the student bureau to select the file for applying for scholarships at the University of Bandar Lampung according to the criteria and parameters set.
