Abstract

In this article, we propose a brief introduction to the context of emerging robotics in a home environment followed by state of the art in two main areas of interest which are robots in a role of receptionist and robots operating in home environments. Then we describe in details our solution of robot receptionist system. The uniqueness of this solution lies in the fact that we are merging the two topics – a home assistance robotics with the robots in the role of receptionist. In the end, we evaluate the system through simulation and state the future work with a conclusion.
