Abstract

The paper investigates how the influence of new technologies on labor relations is also reflected in the Italian social security system. After a trend to universalization of the area of social security which has now begun for a few decades, the legislator, also following European indications, has to implement welfare provision, first of all the basic income, in order to guarantee a free and dignified existence even to the workers of the platforms. But it necessary to figure out what characteristics such a measure should have to help poor workers to leave the cage of precariousness.
