The challenges of creating The Big phraseological dictionary of the Old Church Slavonic Language in the age of digital culture

Abstract

Old Church Slavonic phraseological fund is the richest base for studying the roots of mentality of modern Slavs. Although the manuscripts of the X–XI centuries have been studying for 200 years, linguists have never tried to give a complete description of the phraseological fund in Old Church Slavonic dictionaries. The comprehensive studying of phraseological units of the fourth literary language of the Medieval Europe just started in the digital age.
