In this paper, we simulate the actual operating environment of transformer, establish the oil-paper insulation needle-plate model, and obtain the partial discharge signal data under different conditions by changing the thickness of cardboard and the spacing between needle and plate. The feasibility of information entropy theory and application to partial discharge signal processing is analyzed. For the whole process of partial discharge, the characteristic parameters of the discharge signal are extracted and characterized according to the PRPD spectrogram and signal data. Abstract
