Abstract

Modern cars are always better equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) to help the driver and the passengers in many activities related to both the safety and the infotainment sphere. The present contribution gives an insight on the current radar technology and on the future challenges for the next generation in-cabin detection systems. Different case studies will be investigated, i.e., concerning passenger presence detection, inattentive driver behavior and touch-free infotainment system control.
