Abstract
This paper presents the design of engineered reflectors for cross polarization rotation and reflected EM wave shaping. An isotropic unit cell consist of two omega-shaped metallic resonators is used to constitute the presented reflector. The cross polarization conversion ratio of the presented reflector is more 95% for frequencies 78.4 GHz to 85.6 GHz. In order to control/shape the reflected EM waves, the unit cell is used to design engineered reflectors of various unit cell distributions to achieve various kinds of scattered patterns such as diffuse reflection, two lobes, four lobes. Fabrication and measured results will be presented at the conference.
