Abstract

The paper focuses on simple procedure of computing the number of control degrees of freedom for designing the plantwide control system. In this study, we consider control system design of a pre-separation unit. Using the procedure we can compute the maximum and minimum number of the control degrees of freedom. This work proposes six plantwide control structures with a different number of degrees of freedom.
