In view of the unreasonable puncturing selection standards, unsatisfactory decoding performance and high computational complexity of the current algorithms, we do many analysis and comparison and find some rules, then we present the odd-numbered criterion, analyzing its’ reliability and effectiveness. Abstract
We propose the odd-numbered criterion to design puncturing polar codes and a new puncturing algorithm was put out in this paper.
