Abstract

Wideband performance can be obtained by the interaction between the 3D posts antenna with surrounding meta-surface patches. The antenna footprint has been reduced by 52% for the 3D posts antenna by the systematic analysis of the current distribution on the meta-surface patches. The modified antennas present comparable performance with the original antennas in terms of antenna bandwidth and radiation properties.
