Abstract

Cone Beam Computerized Tomography (CBCT) is being comprehensively used for diagnosis and treatment planning in orthodontics worldwide. Thorough visualization of craniofacial structures with accuracy and precision gives CBCT an upper hand over its apposite like 3D CT systems (fan beam) and 2D imaging systems. Moreover, it minimizes patient discomfort, improves patient contentment and extensively helps the orthodontist with a better understanding of treatment outcome by incorporating artificial intelligence along with traditional imaging.
