New Directions in Aphasiology

Abstract

In this monograph I have made an attempt to sum up, succinctly, the new directions and new findings in the theoretical and empirical research that I have done over the past few years, together with my pupils (graduate students, postgraduate students, and colleagues in the laboratory I headed in the more than twenty years from 1970 to 1991). It covers only a small part of writings on aphasia, and only those in which the psychological and neurolinguistic aspects of aphasia are the focal points. I hope that this publication will help the American reader to become better acquainted with the results of a small part of my work.
