This paper studies the performance of punctured trellis coded modulation of constant envelope frequency and phase (FPM) modulated signal sets for AWGN and fading mobile satellite channels. Abstract
A set of high-rate punctured convolutional codes can be implemented by the periodic elimination (puncturing) of a low rate 1/n of the original code.
