The article analyzes selected biographies and mini biographies of famous and lessknown women and girls in terms of the type of heroine, promoted values and book structure. The article is an attempt to answer the question about the role that this type of book can play in the mental, emotional and cultural development of its young readers. And in today’s difficult, unstable times, can the superheroes presented in them give them encouragement and confidence in their own strength? Can they provide them with superpowers to grow into wonderful, extraordinary women?
