The standard deviation and mean are worked out for all the four methods. Abstract

The aim of this paper is to compare different simplified methods used for evaluating steady state kinematic pile bending moments in floating piles at the interface of two soil layers of vastly different shear modului. Four commonly used methods are discussed in this paper which are proposed by Nikolaou et al.1, Nikolaou and Gazetas2, Mylonakis3, and Ahmad et al.4.
