The modernisation of old test machines we carried out with respect of ISO26262 standard's approaches and recommendations to perform validation processes. Tested mechanical components were safety critical and they create one complex mechatronics component. In addition to maintaining functional safety, the modernization of set of test machines has brought about better planning and the use of test machines and utilization of machine time. Designed and realised information system as temporary solution was cost effective solution for four years and it prepared the purchasing a new final testing solution in the production plant. Abstract
