The article presents the analysis of efficiency of the industrial activity of the biomass energy-generating complex at Аgroindustrial Company Eugroil Ltd as one of the most environmentally friendly and cost-effective types of electricity production, which is extremely important to determine the prospects of the company. The authors have examined the current state and prospects of bioenergy development in Ukraine. Energy and technological characteristics of the complex under consideration are provided. The results of assessment of the impact of the complex’s operation on the environment are presented, as are the results of analysis of environmental and economic efficiency of its implementation. Abstract

Recently, the relevance of biomass projects and substitution of fossil fuels, primarily natural gas, has increased significantly. Ukraine has a great potential in the production of biofuels, but its application is still very limited. The use of wood in the form of log pieces, wood treatment waste, wood chips and pellets, and burning of sunflower husk has the most dynamic development.
