Abstract

Accurate diagnosis and real-time state assessment of the running gear in the early stage of a defect are essential for predicting and managing the health condition of urban rail trains since it is a crucial component of a rail vehicle. This paper, after outlining the present techniques for improving feature signals in the early stage and discussing fault detection of running gears, prospects the potential for further studies in the course of urban rail trains.
