By calculating the cutting force in the turning process using the empirical formula in the actual production, analyzing the surface layer residual area in the cutter cutting process, abstracting the relationship between cutters and workpieces into a vibration model, and mapping all the changes of physical factors in the cutting process into the virtual manufacturing system, prediction of the surface roughness in the CNC turning simulation system is thus achieved. Abstract

According to the workpiece material, cutter material and shape, combined with the cutting data in the course of processing, the formation principle of surface roughness is studied in this paper. By calculating the cutting force in the turning process using the empirical formula in the actual production, analyzing the surface layer residual area in the cutter cutting process, abstracting the relationship between cutters and workpieces into a vibration model, and mapping all the changes of physical factors in the cutting process into the virtual manufacturing system, prediction of the surface roughness in the CNC turning simulation system is thus achieved. 数控车削物理仿真中表面粗糙度预测的注意事项
