Abstract

A new class of interconnection networks, called hypernetworks, was proposed recently. Hypernetworks are characterized by hypergraphs. Compared with point-to-point networks, they allow for increased resource-sharing and communication bandwidth utilization, and they are especially suitable for optical interconnects.
