Pastoral Care in Bioethical Reflection

Abstract

Author identifies five pastoral care tasks for the chaplain as s/he engages in bioethical reflection. These are (1) identify/discern spiritual concerns and bioethical issues; (2) help in process of identifying options; (3) provide pastoral care throughout process; (4) create atmosphere of realistic hope; (5) provide prophetic perspective.
