Abstract
This paper illustrates a speed control scheme for a 3-phase synchronous reluctance machine with an open-end stator winding fed by a dual-inverter system with a floating capacitor bridge, which is used to compensate the reactive power. In addition, the active power is maximized consistently with the current and voltage constraints. A theoretical analysis, confirmed by experimental results, shows that the performance at high speed improves significantly.
