Abstract

In summer, the Urban Heat Island (UHI) phenomenon, which affects outdoor thermal comfort and building energy consumption, is an increasingly common problem in high-density cities. This phenomenon can be mitigated by resilient design of buildings and urban spaces. In this context, we propose this study to analyze the impact of the aspect ratio and green surfaces on the urban microclimate of the city of Tangier located in the north west of Morocco (Mediterranean climate).
