Abstract

The paper is aimed at the analysis of possibilities of the implementation of the hyperbolic TDOA (Time Difference Of Arrival) based system intended for aircraft navigation during the approach to landing phase of flight. For this purpose, conventional systems like ILS, MLS, GNSS, etc. are used today. Requirements on hyperbolic system were determined based on accuracy of actually utilized systems. The possibility to achieve these requirements was verified by simulation for LKPD Pardubice airport.
