The distribution network delivers power to different classes of non-linear loads. NCT adopts a typical wiring arrangement at the secondary side taking two windings namely as prolonged secondary winding and common secondary winding. In-between these two winding a linking point is available to connect the compensating devices. The shunt and series active filter together called as UPQC are connected at the linkage point to reduce the current and voltage harmonics and to maintain the power quality.
