Abstract

We propose to use two link adaptation strategies together in order to find energy-efficient routing paths in an ad-hoc network: exploiting different modulation techniques supported by the physical layer and the fragmentation size of the packets. Our proposed mechanism finds the best (modulation technique, fragmentation size) pair for a given link and uses this information for finding the minimum energy routing paths.
