Abstract

In the 1990s, Boyer proposed the concept of “Scholarship of Teaching” in view of the decline in the quality of undergraduate teaching in the United States and the emphasis on scientific research over teaching in universities. Boyer believes that “The connotation of academics in colleges and universities not only refers to professional scientific research, but also includes inquiry academics, integrated academics, applied knowledge academics, and spread knowledge academic With the unbalanced development of teaching and scientific research in Chinese Universities, the research on the scholarship of teaching is increasing. Through the visual analysis of CNKI data collection literature, taking 2000-2019 as the research area, 178 scholarship of teaching related papers collected from CSSCI core journals as research objects, through the visual software CiteSpace to draw the keyword knowledge map, draw the research hotspot, evolution process and cutting-edge trend of China’s scholarship of teaching, and provide suggestions for the future development of scholarship of teaching.
