Measurement of Thermophysical Properties

Abstract

In mechanical engineering applications, material properties are required for accurate prediction of their behavior as well as for the design of components and systems. The properties we shall be interested in measuring are those that may be referred to generally as thermophysical properties. However, an important property of fuels, the calorific value is also included here since it is measured by methods that are basically like the ones that are used for measuring thermophysical properties.
