Both theoretical and experimental results show that the intelligent flow totalizer has favorable performance with low power consumption and high accuracy. Compared with similar products, this design is characterized with simple hardware structure, powerful software functions, high reliability and low costs. The meter with this design can work at a temperature as low as -30degC, and has a strong anti-jamming capability. Not limited to roots meter, the totalizer can work with other pulse-type instruments for data processing. Abstract

According to the facts that mechanical roots flow meters are widely applied for natural gas flow measurement, an intelligent flow totalizer based on zero power pulse sensor is developed in this paper.
