Overview of Video Application for DVD Media

Abstract

The new video application format called HD DVD-video has been specified in DVD forum. The HD DVD-video enables to support high definition video, high quality audio and a new interactive navigation that will allow for synchronization of picture in picture, graphics, menus, streaming network multimedia and high definition video. The HD DVD-video players include network connectivity and persistent storage that will allow a user to play network synchronized game, dynamically download new theater trailers and to save those trailers, game scores and other personalized information into internal persistent storage
