Measurements are conducted with EIRP of 4W. The proposed tag is readable at distance of 8 m away from the reader antenna. Abstract
A low-profile folded patch antenna is proposed for UHF meta-mountable RFID tag design. The proposed tag has overall size of 32 mm × 32 mm × 1.6 mm (0.098λ × 0.098λ × 0.005λ), which miniaturization of tag can be achieved by etching a narrow Z-shaped slot on the radiating patch and stub-shorting the patch to ground.
