Abstract

In strong shock waves in rarefied gases chemical processes occur in conditions of ther-modynamic nonequilibrium. The big interest is the creation of level models of processes for obtain a rate coefficient. The paper presents a new level model for dissociation, ob-tained within the adiabatic approximation. Model was verified on the basis of available data of quasiclassical trajectory calculations, which analyzed the dissociation of N 2 molecules in a wide temperature range. Comparison of the model with the Marrone − Treanor model and with existing modifications of the Marrone − Treanor models were discussed.
