Abstract

This paper prcscnts an adaptation scheme for noise reduction (NK) and interlaced-to-progressive conversion (IPC) based on the optimal filter theory. The p~oposcd adaptation scheme pi-ovides effective removal of noise and high quality conversion with considerably less flicker. NK and IPC are combined together so that NK helps the proper operation of IPC, whilc sharing resources and informations.
