Abstract
It is evident that social capability is inherently coupled with human motor skills. In order to explore the coupled underlying mechanism, this paper focuses on the development of motion protocols following the ICF criteria for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). A set of motion protocols are designed, a system is also developed to evaluate the motor skills accordingly. The preliminary results confirm that the motion protocols bridge the gap between social capability and hand motor skills, further sheds light on development of novel intervention strategies to rehabilitate autistic children.
