Abstract
There have been many researches and implementations using image sensors to get information for traffic and vehicle control. The image seen from camera located beside or upon the road can be used for vehicle detection, velocity of car or car group measurement, parking car detection, etc. Moreover the image seen from camera located in vehicle can be used for previous car detection, distance to following vehicle measuring, obstacle detection, lane detection, etc. In this paper, items to measure, algorithms to measure with image processing, problems to overcome in future are described.<>
