The study reveals the growth of AI in research publications both in international and in Indian context, but its applicability in the field of higher education is substantially low. The usage of AI in Indian education sector has tremendous scope for growth and in most likelihood research publications in the said field will expand considerably in years to come. Abstract

Scientrometrics is a branch of science which performs reproducible measurements of scientific activity. Scientometric analysis of research papers/ articles indexed in Scopus database (www.scopus.com) for last ten years (2009 to 2018) have been done. The study focuses on the research publications for the applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education.
