Abstract

The small change of sound velocity in shallow water will lead to a significant change of sound field in the vertical direction. For three typical types of shallow water sound velocity profiles, the normal wave model is used to simulate and calculate the channel transmission function, and the vertical correlation is analyzed. The simulation results show that the vertical correlation of the channel transfer function of the weak positive gradient and the weak positive gradient has the same trend with the depth when the depth of the receiver is constant. For the sound velocity profile with a jump layer, the vertical correlation of the channel transfer function changes sharply when the depth of the receiver is constant.
