This paper inspects the employment of STATCOM to overwhelmed the voltage stability problem for DFIG based wind farm linked to a distribution network. This investigation includes the execution of a Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) as a dynamic reactive power compensator at the Point of Common Coupling (PCC) to maintain the steady voltage during and after the disturbances.
