Abstract

A modified hybrid channel assignment scheme (MHCA) for micro-cellular mobile radio system is introduced. This algorithm is based on the conventional hybrid channel allocation scheme with reassignment and looking forward strategies. The reassignment strategy is activated when a call is terminated on a fixed channel to switch a call in progress in a dynamic channel.
