Abstract

The internet of things (IoT) is a computing concept that talks about the idea of everyday physical objects being connected to the internet and being able to receive and send data to other devices over the internet. In this paper, a new approach to implement an IoT enabled intelligent three pin socket adapter system is presented. This system will enable the people in charge of any institution or organization such as a security guard to devices such as water heaters, lights etc., connected with a single device without having to physically be present. The step by step process to implement is discussed. This paper also briefs on the future work on how this approach can be extended to other everyday physical objects.
