Abstract

The syndrome of the consequences of intensive care (PIT syndrome) is currently a problem affecting the strategy of the entire intensive care. The study of the mechanisms of development becomes most relevant in the aspect of prevention of the development and influence on the course of the disease in patients with impaired respiratory function, neuromuscular transmission and cognitive disorders requiring long-term protection of vital functions. The article describes three clinical cases of PIT syndrome in patients. Based on the analysis of the course and severity of this syndrome, conclusions are drawn about the relationship between the course of the inflammatory process and its effect on the restoration of impaired functions.
