The unit cell of the periodic metamaterial structure is chosen in such a way that, it offers low loss and dispersion for the lens structure and to realize the near zero values Permeability (μ), Permittivity (ε) and Refractive Index (η). Abstract
In this communication, a square strip ring resonator (SSRR) based periodic metamaterial structure is addressed to improve the gain of a horn antenna operating in 16–20 GHz (upper Ku band) by 6 dB.
