Abstract
The frequency and size dependences for the transverse and longitudinal Q-factor of the metallic nanodiscs have been obtained. It has been shown that Q-factor of the discs Au and Ag in the visible spectrum is greater than Q-factor for the discs of other metals and it increases under the increase of the aspect ratio. It has been established that the silver nanodiscs have the greatest Q-factor when the frequencies are close to the frequencies of the surface plasmonic resonance, and the transverse Q-factor is greater than the longitudinal Q-factor significantly.
