The results point to the predominance of the female gender among the entrepreneurial librarians, in the age range between 31 and 40 years; the companies are located mainly in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Santa Catarina, most of which are formalized and have business oriented to the management of conventional and digital documents and files, consulting in the elaboration of projects, organization of libraries, standardization of works and projects, among other services. Most of them took specialization courses. Regarding the category of entrepreneurship competences, it is evidenced by the participating librarians that the most important ones were commitment, information search, persuasion, networking and persistence. Finally, based on all the information obtained, a map of enterprising skills of the librarians was elaborated. Abstract
