Abstract

Presented is an approach for the use of field effect transistors in a free running parallel inverter- converter. An attempt is made to reconcile the limitations, which are imposed by the speed of operation of the control electronics and of the concerned magnetic elements with the increased demands imposed by the severe di/dt's of the field effect transistors; the magnetic components and the associated control electronics are so devised as to handle the new demands.
