Abstract
A Li/Ion battery charger with DC-DC full bridge converter for electrical vehicle is presented here. The converter is fed by the grid. Moreover, connection of the full bridge converter to the single-phase grid is provided by using PFC Cuk converter having hysteresis current control. Furthermore, output inductor of the converter is operated at DCM. The study is conducted by using simulation in Simulink. Owing to the simulations, battery current, voltage and SOC are presented to validate that the battery is charged. Furthermore, THD of grid current, and PF are observed. As a result, Li/Ion battery is charged as it desired, PF is obtained as 0.999 and grid current THD is 1.48 %.
