Abstract

In this paper, a novel risk of successive commutation failures near oscillation center has been put forward, and it can be explained by marvelous generator swing. Accordingly, the countermeasures are put forward, they are generator tripping (as stability control) and AC network promotion, respectively. Finally, the effectiveness of these two measures are demonstrated and validated in numerical illustrations.
