Abstract

This article describes the benefits of application the intelligent controls methods such as artificial neural network ANN to control the separately excited of DC motor and compared it with the traditional controllers. These modern neural network PID techniques improve the speed response of separately excited DC motor. Simulation results are obtainable to validate the influence and returns of using ANN with DC motor, also the dynamic behaviour parameters that obtained from ANN-controller are more acceptable as compared with PID-controller.
