Natural Potential for Tourism Development in the Raparin Administration

Abstract

Natural resources play a main role in the development of tourism in any region. This research is entitled ” Natural potential for tourism development in the Raparin administration.“ The aim is to identify and analyze the natural resources and issues in front of the development of tourism in the Raparin administration. Although there are many different natural resources for the development of tourism in the study area, many problems are obstacles to the development of tourism in the research area, especially the lack of tourism services and poor roads. To achieve the goal of the study, both principled and analytical methods were used with each of its programs )ArcGIS V.١٠.٥( and )Google Earth(. In order to present the natural principles and how these principles affect the development of tourism in the study area, which is presented through various tables, maps, and pictures. Finally, the study reached a number of results: The most important of these is the region’s borders with the Islamic Republic of Iran, Erbil province, and Dukan and Sharbazher districts of Sulaimaniyah province, although the Raparin administration has several different tourism principles that have made it an attraction for tourists, At the end, several recommendations were presented to solve the problems and plan the future of the Raparin administration. This will lead to an increase in the number of tourists and the development of the tourism sector in the study area.
